Time to “Spruce”

So there’s this sweet little shop called Spruce just a short walk from my house in old Leawood. I can tell you it’s always worth every step to get there for it’s inspiration and it’s inventory. I’ve been here several times and I always find something(s) to take home. (I’ve actually learned to just drive so I can get all of my goodies back). The story of this little shop is pretty sweet too. It’s owned by four women, all mothers who love home design. Since all of their children are now of school age they take turns running the shop during the week, still able to be active in their families but have this little slice of heaven on the side. Can you say dream job?

When you walk in to Spruce you’re instantly inspired to make some home decorating decisions. They have beautiful artwork, furniture, gifts, pottery, and lighting. I’ve bought some of my most complimented pieces in my home from here. On my most recent visit to Spruce I was on a mission to find some new items to style my entryway tables. That didn’t stop me from admiring all that they had to offer.

Hello pretties! These stopped me in my tracks.

I have a pillow problem. That purple tassel number makes me want to redecorate an entire space just so I can use it.

Oh hello! I could visualize these guys underneath a console table that I now feel the need to buy just so I can have a home for them. Navy blue and white stripes? Yes please!

Maybe at the end of our bed?

Some foreshadowing… The prints in the background on the left are hung in our entry way. Gah, I love botanical prints. Also this pom pom pillow and basket. I’m getting the feeling that fall is just just around the corner with these two and that’s alright with me.

This whole thing makes me happy.

I love a good throw because it can really add some texture and a pop of color to a flat room.

Aren’t these little wreaths amazing? They are sweet, just like everything else on this bookcase.

Talk about some perfect gifts for housewarmings, birthdays, or for myself for absolutely no reason at all. I told myself “no” in the store but those earrings are coming to Charleston with me in a few weeks.

I can’t believe it myself but this is all that I left with. I already had much of what I needed I just wanted to add a few fun pieces to make the space really pop.

Spruce also just went to market so this is just a glimpse at what they have to offer. I can’t say enough about this place. They are so helpful and even offer in-home consulting for styling your own space. Spruce is for sure one of my go-to places, check it out! I have a feeling it’s going to be one of yours too.
