Our Morning at Magnolia

My husband and I had been looking forward to this trip long before it was ever planned. I love the show Fixer-Upper and am an even bigger Chip and Johanna Gaines fan. They are so relatable and I think that’s why they are so loved. They were just a sweet family flipping houses who turned into humble megastars almost overnight. I love how they have used their fame to build up their community and repurposed these massive Silos which put Waco on the map as a destination spot.

This place is so well thought out. You enter a large green space with games and beanbags scattered about, inviting you to come and admire the Silos.

These beautiful tent-covered picnic tables surround the green space and offer shade while you enjoy some delicious grub from one of many food trucks ready to serve near by.

I can only imagine how fun it would be to enjoy one of the concerts held here underneath this beautiful barn.

We were about to enter Magnolia Market that hosts all of their home goods… I was so excited!!!

This is my favorite nook of the store, I mean… Wow!

I’m over here trying to figure out how I can recreate this amazing crystallized wooden spoon chandelier. SO beautiful!

There was so much to look at and I wanted to take it all home. They have two giant rooms full of home goods, candles and memorabilia. It was hard to narrow down what I couldn’t leave without but I’m pretty excited about my purchases.

These are some of the pieces I couldn’t leave without. Click the letter for the link.

This pretty little building is Magnolia Bakery and has some of the most delicious cupcakes I’ve ever had.

Trust me it’s worth the out-the-door-and-around-the-corner wait.

A look at their menu… probably one of the hardest decisions of my life :).

Here’s what we ended up with. Strawberries ‘N Cream, Lemon Laveder and an Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. SO GOOD!

It ended up being a perfect day at the Silos!

We’re parents and we don’t often get many days just the two of us, but I’ve got to say this was one of my favorites. Shout out to my husband for planning and making it happen. I’m one lucky lady.

Until next time,

Melissa
